Fall is such a beautiful time of year to enjoy fun events outdoors. The weather is cool, the bugs are gone and the air is crisp. One of my favorite things to do during the fall, in preparation for Halloween, is go to a local pumpkin patch and have my kids pick out their favorite pumpkins! Here is a guide to the best pumpkin patches in Raleigh, NC.
Page Farms is a local, family owned farm that has been in operation for over 100 years. Every fall they have an amazing pumpkin patch where you get to pick your pumpkin off the vine!! They are open for pumpkin picking Wednesday through Sunday from the last week in September all the way through October. Admission includes the following:

Just north of Wake Forest, in Youngsville is Hillridge Farms, which is always a family favorite during the fall (and all year!). Admission into the farm includes:

Located right outside of Raleigh in Fuquay-Varina is Naylor Family Farm. They have tons to do for families and children and even have a new attraction this year, the 150 foot ride-n-slide (hop in a tube and slide down the huge slide!). Another local farm that has been operating for over 100 years and is popular in the area is Phillips Farm in Cary. Although they don’t have a pumpkin patch included with admission, they do have a market onsite with tons of pumpkins to choose from! Phillips Farm also has a large variety of activities for the family. They are open weekends from the middle of September through October.
